Zainab Sempeyo Ramadham Kanchuri

Zainab was born on 10 May 1997. Her father has a diagnosis of epilepsy, which costs the family a great deal in medical treatment and also prevents him from working. Her father's sickness has a profound psychological affect on her mother, who also does not work. Zainab lives with her grandmother and is dependent on the charity of others to support her education. Zainab is a bright, hard-working student and has been one of the top five students in her class every year. Zainab had no means of continuing to fund her education and was on the verge of dropping out of school when MGEF began sponsoring her in 2011. She now attends Kajiado Township Primary School.
