01/17/1989 When Miriam was 13 years old, her father arranged a marriage for her, a marriage she did not want. She ran away to a local area chief, who contacted MGEF. The chief intervened and stopped the marriage, and MGEF offered Miriam a scholarship. She will graduate from secondary school in November 2010.
