Namiyio's family lives in extreme poverty, with no goats or cows. They depend solely on their relatives and neighbors for survival. During her first three years in school, Namiyio suffered from seizures, which were treated by a pediatric neurologist in Nairobi. After three years of medications, provided by MGEF, Namiyio's seizures ceased, and she is now very healthy and pursuing an education.
A donation to MGEF will help to buy shoes, a uniform, and supplies for a student, or pay school fees for a needy girl to go to school.
Sponsorship is an opportunity to be a part of one student's life for the duration of her education and beyond. If you are interested in sponsoring a student, please contact MGEF so that we can discuss which is the best student for you.
