Dorothy's father died when she was eight years old. Wth help from relatives, she was able to complete secondary school, but that was the end of her education. Her mother died in 2009, and she and her sister have been living with an aunt. With an MGEF scholarship she is now enrolled in college to earn a diploma in telecommunication systems and will graduate in 2011.
